Law graduate from the Colegio Mayor de Nuestra Señora del Rosario. He also holds a Specialization in Financial Law from the same University, a Specialization and Master’s Degree in Insurance Law and Reinsurance from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, and an International Masters in Insurance and Risk Management from the Mapfre Studies Foundation (Spain) and the University of Salamanca (Spain). He has work experience in entities such as the Federation of Colombian Insurers – FASECOLDA- as Legal Deputy Director; Aon Risk Services Insurance Brokers as Manager of Financial Lines and Manager of State Operations; Manager of Financial Lines of AIG Mexico Insurance  (Mexico D.F.).  He is a consultant in the insurance and reinsurance sector, both in the legal and technical fields.

He has specialized knowledge in matters of financial lines (BBB and IRF, D&O, Public Servants, Professional Civil Liability and in so-called cyber risk insurance) and Engineering Insurance.

He has been a professor at the undergraduate, postgraduate and graduate levels in Argentina, Chile and Colombia at such universities as Universidad del Rosario, Javeriana, EAN, Norte de Barraquilla, Externado, EAFIT, Universidad de Buenos Aires, Escuela de Seguros de Chile and, likewise, at the Instituto Nacional de Insurance the Colombian Association of Reinsurance Technicians.

He has been a guest speaker at various insurance companies, congresses and seminars in Colombia, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Mexico, Uruguay, Panama, Paraguay, Guatemala, Cuba and Rome (within the framework of the Aida 2014 World Congress), on issues related to financial lines, comparative legislation of insurance contracts, civil liability insurance, financial lines insurance and consumer protection in the insurance field.
