Lawyer of the Colegio Mayor de Nuestra Señora del Rosario (University), with Specialization in Financial Law from the same institution and Specialization and Master’s Degree in Insurance Law and Reinsurance from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, as well as International Master in Insurance and Risk Management at the Fundación Mapfre Estudios in Spain and the University of Salamanca (Spain). With work experience in entities such as the Federation of Colombian Insurers – FASECOLDA [for its Spanish acronym], as Deputy Legal Director; Aon Risk Services Insurance Brokers, as Financial Lines Manager and State Business Manager; Aig México Seguros (Mexico City), as Financial Lines Manager. Consultant in the insurance and reinsurance sector, in both the legal and the technical fields.

With special expertise in financial lines (BBB and IRF [Spanish initials for Employee Infidelity and Financial Risks], D&O, Professional Civil Liability and the so-called cyber risk insurance) and Engineering Insurance.

Undergraduate, graduate and diploma course professor, as well as guest lecturer at different institutions and congresses in Latin America on topics related to financial lines, comparative legislation of insurance contracts, civil liability insurance, financial lines insurance and consumer protection in the insurance activity.

World Chairman of the Working Group on Civil Liability Insurance of the International Association of Insurance Companies (AIDA) and Former Chairman of the Working Group on Civil Liability Insurance of the Ibero-Latin American Committee of Insurance Law (CILA).
